Ingredients
  

  • 6 medium potatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes evenly in the dish.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cheddar and mozzarella over the potatoes.
  5. Repeat layering with remaining potatoes and cheese.
  6. Mix heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika in a bowl.
  7. Pour cream mixture evenly over the layered potatoes.
  8. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 35 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake uncovered for 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  11. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting texture.
  • Add cooked bacon bits for extra flavor.
  • Swap cheddar with gouda or Monterey Jack for variation.
  • Let the dish rest 10 minutes before serving for cleaner slices.
