Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking trays with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in desired flavor add-ins depending on cookie variation.
  7. Scoop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto baking tray.
  8. Bake for 10–15 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Cool on rack before serving with paired drink.
