Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Mix dry ingredients separately, then gradually combine with wet mixture.
- Fold in optional add-ins like chocolate chips or nuts.
- Scoop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven and cool on wire racks.
- Decorate with icing, sprinkles, or powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve warm or store in an airtight container.

Recipe Notes:
For extra festive flair, add red and green sprinkles, mini candy canes, or a drizzle of white chocolate. Most recipes can be doubled for larger batches.
