Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
- Slice pears in half and scoop out the core
- Arrange cut-side up in a baking dish
- Mix melted butter, sugar/honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, and salt
- Brush mixture over pears
- Bake 25–35 minutes until tender
- Optionally baste halfway
- Serve warm with desired toppings
Notes
Use firm but ripe pears; try Bosc or Anjou for best results; can be made dairy-free with coconut oil; add a splash of bourbon or lemon zest for variation; serve immediately or reheat gently if prepared ahead.
