Method
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper or foil.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the tray.
- Mix olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and paprika in a bowl.
- Brush the seasoning mixture evenly over the salmon fillets.
- Place small pieces of butter on top of each fillet if using.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook the salmon to keep it moist and tender.
- Let the salmon rest at room temperature for 10 minutes before baking for even cooking.
- Add chili flakes for a spicy variation.
- Fresh lemon juice enhances flavour better than bottled juice.
