Ingredients
  

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Melt butter in a microwave-safe mug for 20–30 seconds.
  2. Stir in brown sugar, granulated sugar, vanilla, and salt until combined.
  3. Mix in egg yolk until smooth.
  4. Fold in flour and chocolate chips until batter is even.
  5. Microwave on high for 40–60 seconds until edges are set but center is soft.
  6. Let cool slightly before eating.

Notes

Do not overcook or the cookie will become dry.
