Ingredients
  

  • 12 Medjool dates pitted
  • ½ cup chocolate chips dark, milk, or semi-sweet
  • 2 teaspoons coconut oil optional, for smoother chocolate
  • Chopped nuts shredded coconut, or sea salt for topping (optional)

Method
 

  1. Slice each date lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  2. Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Spoon or pipe chocolate into each pitted date.
  4. Optionally sprinkle with chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or a pinch of sea salt.
  5. Place stuffed dates on a tray and chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes until chocolate sets.
  6. Serve and enjoy.

Notes

Choose soft, large Medjool dates for best results.
Chocolate can be dark, milk, or white according to preference.
Add a pinch of salt to enhance the chocolate flavor.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
