Method
- Slice each date lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
- Melt chocolate chips with coconut oil in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Spoon or pipe chocolate into each pitted date.
- Optionally sprinkle with chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or a pinch of sea salt.
- Place stuffed dates on a tray and chill in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes until chocolate sets.
- Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Choose soft, large Medjool dates for best results.
Chocolate can be dark, milk, or white according to preference.
Add a pinch of salt to enhance the chocolate flavor.
