Ingredients

  • Oreo cookies – 12 pieces
  • Nutella – ½ cup
  • All-purpose flour – 1 cup
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Granulated sugar – 1 tablespoon
  • Milk – ¾ cup
  • Egg – 1 large
  • Vanilla extract – ½ teaspoon
  • Salt – a pinch
  • Vegetable or canola oil – for deep frying
  • Powdered sugar – for dusting

Method

  1. Twist open each Oreo cookie, spread Nutella inside, and gently close them again.
  2. Place stuffed Oreos in the freezer for 20–30 minutes until firm.
  3. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt together.
  4. Add milk, egg, and vanilla extract, then mix until a smooth batter forms.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 175–180°C (350°F).
  6. Dip each frozen Oreo into the batter, coating it completely.
  7. Carefully place coated Oreos into hot oil and fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  8. Remove fried Oreos and drain them on paper towels.
  9. Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve warm.

Notes

Freeze the Oreos before frying to prevent them from breaking apart.
Maintain medium heat so the batter cooks evenly without burning.
Do not overcrowd the pan to keep the oil temperature stable.
Serve immediately for the best gooey Nutella texture.
