Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice uncooked
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes canned or fresh
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese optional
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  5. Drain excess grease if needed.
  6. Stir in rice, diced tomatoes, beef broth, and seasonings.
  7. Bring mixture to a gentle boil.
  8. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes until rice is tender.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top if using and cover until melted.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
Add bell peppers or peas for extra vegetables and color.
Adjust seasoning to taste before serving.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
