Method
- Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions.
- Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain pasta.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink.
- Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Melt remaining butter in the same skillet.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in reserved pasta water and simmer briefly.
- Add cooked pasta and toss to coat in sauce.
- Return shrimp to skillet and mix gently.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, parsley, and lemon juice.
- Serve immediately with extra Parmesan if desired.

Do not overcook shrimp or they will become rubbery.
