Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Place the unbaked pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp edges.
- In a bowl, whisk corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth.
- Stir in pecan halves until evenly coated.
- Pour filling into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 50–55 minutes until center is set and slightly puffed.
- Cool completely at room temperature before slicing and serving.
Notes
Toast pecans lightly before adding for deeper flavor.
Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
Pie sets further as it cools, so avoid overbaking.
