Ingredients
  

  • 4 ripe Roma tomatoes finely diced
  • 1 small white onion finely chopped
  • 1 –2 fresh jalapeños minced
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Dice tomatoes and place them in a mixing bowl.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced jalapeños.
  3. Stir in fresh cilantro.
  4. Squeeze lime juice evenly over the mixture.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper.
  6. Toss everything gently until well combined.
  7. Let sit for 10 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
  8. Serve fresh with tortilla chips or as a topping.

Notes

  • Remove jalapeño seeds for a milder flavor.
  • Use firm, ripe tomatoes for best texture.
  • Adjust lime and salt to taste.
  • Best enjoyed fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
