Method
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Cook ziti in salted boiling water until just al dente, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in an oven-safe pan and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, then simmer 3–4 minutes.
- Stir cooked ziti into the sauce until evenly coated.
- Dollop ricotta over pasta and gently swirl.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly on top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Rest 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
Notes
Use whole-milk cheeses for the creamiest texture.
Undercook pasta slightly so it finishes perfectly in the oven.
Add cooked ground beef or sausage for a meaty version.
