Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped green beans
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 large head cauliflower chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Steam cauliflower until fork-tender about 10 minutes.
  3. Drain cauliflower well then blend with butter heavy cream salt and pepper until smooth.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Add ground meat and cook until browned.
  7. Stir in carrots green beans tomato paste broth Worcestershire sauce thyme salt and pepper.
  8. Simmer for 8–10 minutes until thickened.
  9. Spread meat mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  10. Top with cauliflower mash and smooth evenly.
  11. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  12. Bake for 20 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  13. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Drain cauliflower thoroughly to avoid watery mash.
You can substitute ground turkey for a lighter option.
Add paprika or chili flakes for a spicy kick.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
This recipe freezes well for meal prep.
