Ingredients
Method
- Place the chuck roast in a slow cooker and sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the meat.
- Add butter, whole pepperoncini peppers, and pepperoncini juice to the slow cooker.
- Cook on low heat for 8 hours or high heat for 4–5 hours until the beef becomes tender and easily shreddable.
- Shred the cooked roast using two forks and mix the meat with the cooking juices to keep it moist and flavorful.
- Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Slice the slider buns horizontally without separating the rolls and place the bottom half into a baking dish.
- Spread the shredded pot roast evenly over the bottom buns.
- Layer provolone cheese slices over the beef.
- Place the top buns over the cheese layer.
- Mix melted butter and garlic powder, then brush the mixture over the tops of the buns.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly over the brushed buns.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the tops are golden and slightly crisp.
- Slice into individual sliders and serve warm.
Notes
Use chuck roast for the best tender shredded beef texture.
Do not discard the cooking juices because they keep the beef moist and flavourful.
Hawaiian rolls add a slightly sweet flavour that pairs perfectly with the savoury beef.
For extra spice, add sliced jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese instead of provolone.
These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
