Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed but cold
  • ½ –¾ cup Nutella or chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 egg beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar for dusting
  • Optional: chopped hazelnuts
  • Optional: pinch of sea salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unfold puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and gently roll to even edges.
  3. Spread Nutella evenly, leaving a ½-inch border around edges.
  4. Fold pastry over or cut into strips/squares as desired.
  5. Cut into 12–16 bite-sized pieces and place on prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake 12–15 minutes until puffed and deep golden brown.
  8. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Do not overfill with Nutella to prevent leaking while baking.
Keep puff pastry cold for the best flaky layers.
For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt or chopped hazelnuts before baking.
Best served warm for a gooey center.
