Oreo Nutella Lava Bites Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • Oreo cookies – 200g about 18 cookies, finely crushed
  • Nutella – 120g ½ cup
  • Cream cheese softened – 120g
  • All-purpose flour – 60g ½ cup
  • Egg – 1 large 50g without shell
  • Baking powder – 5g 1 tsp
  • Vanilla extract – 5ml 1 tsp
  • Chocolate chips – 60g ⅓ cup
  • Powdered sugar – 15g 2 tbsp, optional for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Crush Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or rolling method.
  3. Mix Oreo crumbs, cream cheese, egg, flour, baking powder, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
  4. Scoop 1 tablespoon dough, flatten slightly, and place ½ teaspoon Nutella in the centre.
  5. Seal the dough around the filling and roll into a smooth ball.
  6. Place balls on the prepared tray and add chocolate chips on top if desired.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until the outside is set but the inside remains soft.
  8. Cool for 5 minutes, dust with powdered sugar, and serve warm for a gooey lava centre.

Notes

Use room-temperature cream cheese for smooth mixing.
• Avoid overfilling with Nutella to prevent leaking.
• Slightly underbake for the perfect molten center.
• Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
• Reheat in the microwave for 10 seconds to restore gooey texture.
