Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry slightly on a floured surface.
- Brush melted butter over the pastry sheet.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the pastry.
- Cut pastry into strips (about 1-inch wide).
- Twist each strip and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake 12–15 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
- Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
Notes
Do not let the puff pastry thaw too long, or it will be hard to handle.
