Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef or lamb broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 cups mashed potatoes
  • ½ cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  3. Add ground lamb and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in carrots, peas, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour in broth and simmer until thickened.
  6. Spread the lamb mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  7. Spoon mashed potatoes over the top and smooth evenly.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and slightly crispy on top.
  9. Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.
