Ingredients
  

  • All-purpose flour – 1½ cups
  • Granulated sugar – 1 cup
  • Unsalted butter softened – ½ cup
  • Eggs – 2 large
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Vanilla extract – 2 teaspoons
  • Baking powder – 1½ teaspoons
  • Salt – ¼ teaspoon

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
  8. Fill cupcake liners ⅔ full with batter.
  9. Bake for 18–20 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool completely before frosting as desired.

Notes

Use room temperature ingredients for a smoother batter.
Do not overbake to keep cupcakes moist.
Add a splash of almond extract for extra flavor depth.
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
